Is Your Man Killing his Sperm?

Men do have a biological clock –  but is your man killing his sperm, needlessly, on a daily basis?

Male fertility drops off a cliff from age 45 as testosterone levels plummet, increasing risk of miscarriage and health dangers to children.

Infertility is a shared pathology scenario where turbo-charged sperm can produce pregnancy against all the odds.  Women fare better in conceiving when they have a younger partner!

Is  your man killing his sperm by doing any of these?

1. Sitting …  overheats balls unless he’s sitting legs akimbo, in a kilt on a breezy hilltop, in Autumn!

Get up, stand up, move about and let some cool air circulate. Humans are designed to produce sperm in balls that hang outside the body, keeping them a degree below body temp. ‘Snow Balls’ is a type of underwear to boost male fertility by cooling down vital areas. Ever use a bidet for more than soaking sox? Discover a continental approach to virility.

2. Sunscreen … wash it off as soon as you can. It reduces male fertility by 30%. Beware more endocrine-disrupting chemicals lurking in food, clothing, paints, and frying pans, cosmetics and household cleaners, at work and in the garden shed. Eating all-organic food eliminates chemicals from the body. A recent Swedish documentary followed a family who did just that with authenticated results. Sorry, I can’t find the link right now to share with you.

3. Skinny jeans are a super natural contraceptive. Heat and constriction combine in one sterile, fashion statement. Why not opt for an sexy Beckham-style sarong instead? Need I remind you that sperm are made from scratch, every moment so don’t mess with the production line if you want to increase your family line.

4. Soaps … watching TV lowers sperm count by a whopping 44%. Soft comfy sofas keep balls too hot to make healthy sperm. Mindless box-watching leads to snacking, inactivity, weight gain and reduced libido.

5. Spare tyre …  seriously, who imagines a beer belly and podgy arse is attractive? Not likely to improve a partner’s libido, it flags up a waning testosterone count. Being a dad already doesn’t guarantee healthy sperm right now.

6. Scoops … alcohol gives sperm the whirlies, and gets them swimming, slowly, around in circles. Not good for making babies.

7. Cigarettes foul up more than breath, so butt out for faster, stronger swimmers.

8. Cycling … narrow saddles combine with tight sweaty lycra for a sperm-frying ride

9. Sausages, rashers and salami … you can kiss goodbye to the full Irish and the breakfast roll. Processed meats are stuffed with sperm-wilting chemicals. You can thank the bright young things at Harvard University for that dietary-study gem.

10. Screens … laptops and mobile phones blitz the delicate sperm-making cells. Keep them well away from the gonads. Please, please leave me a comment if you can manage that one!

11. Scripts … list every med you take, even over-the-counter analgesics and supplements. Antacids block absorption of nutrients from food. Check out the side effects of all ads singly and how they work in combination. Taking unprescribed testosterone and body-building supplements paradoxically results in teeny weeny wienies, low sex drive, shorter temper, fewer sperm and a squeakier voice.

12. Sex … too much and sperm is diluted. Swimmers band together to reach the egg, so there’s strength in numbers. Saving all your sperm for a fertile window extravaganza results in stale, gone off sperm which send out the wrong chemical signals to the egg. A big turn off.

13. Stress … anxiety, worry and depression affect reproductive health. Going through infertility investigations and treatment causes stress. Get professional help and support.

The good news?  With their c.72-day sperm turnaround time blokes can see huge changes in sperm numbers and quality.
