Blank Canvas Cosmetics Brush Set Review

Let me tell you about Blank Canvas Cosmetics which is an Irish company that produce high quality make-up brushes.

They kindly gave two testers a complete set of brushes to try out and here is how they got on.

Tester 1

“When Mary asked me to test the Blank Canvas Brushes I was delighted.  A recent convert to a foundation brush I loved the idea of the chance to try a whole set.

Initially I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of brushes but once Mary explained what each one was for I set off to paint my canvas!

It’s all about the tools and how you use them. I like the foundation brush but I’m not keen in the concealer brush being on the other end – I find it makes storing it difficult.  It’s the same with the double ended eyebrow brush.

However that aside they are both great!  In my opinion the best brush of all is the loose powder applicator – I love it !  I also like the angled blusher brush, great when you’ve got a bit carried away with the blusher and need to do a blend and a repair or even for its original use, simply contouring!

I would recommend Blank Canvas Brushes. For people new to the brush world I suggest picking a basic set to start.  I had a look at their range on Dolledup.ie and they have a wonderful selection.   And the best bit – it’s an Irish company”.

Tester 2

“I loved the case its easy to keep clean and it looks nice also.  The brushes themselves are amazing, if I was was to pick only one brush I’d pick the F23, its brilliant for applying foundation and getting into all the nooks and crannies of my face I also applied primer with it.  There’s another lovely foundation brush which has a concealer brush on the other end. Brilliant idea.

The eye brushes are brilliant too I love the fact there’s a brush on either end of the stick my favorites are E23 and E24 and E32 andE 34.  You could do a lot with these brushes in the line of shading applying shadow and blending .

My pet hate with brushes is hairs falling on my face,  this hasn’t happened with these, except, one brush, the powder brush its a pity, but I’ve plenty other brushes that can do this job so its fine.  I have used various brands before but this set would be my favorite plus I love the fact its an Irish brand.  I would highly recommend this set.  They’re right up there with the big names.  Plus they wash really well and keep their shape, very important in my book”.
