Festival Hair Tips

Festival season is upon us…

Today I will be bringing you my top 3 tips for the perfect festival hair, my top 3 products for keeping it fresh, and my top 3 accessories for making the most of your crowning glory.

Day 1 … is when your hair is at its best.  If you don’t want to wash and style it before you head off, try washing the night before, and braiding the hair loosely while damp.  This will give you the most gorgeous loose wave the following morning, with literally no maintenance for your first day of fun.

Day 2 … Bed Head has happened!  Spray in some dry shampoo, shake the hair up and wear a floral halo or head chain. If you have gone through the trauma of straightening the day before, simply scrunch in some texturising spray, or lotion, to tame the tangles and frizz.

Day 3 … Flat, oily hair.  Use your dry shampoo all over the hair, give it a good ruffle to distribute the powder evenly, and try a halo braid, a messy ponytail or bun, or the traditional, 2 french plaits.

Top 3 Hair Accessories…

I love these statement head pieces from Pink Sugar Sparkles Shop  (click on link to shop)

The second is more boho chic. A full gold chain, that sits on the parting, with multiple chain detail, sitting all around the head.

The third is a perfect addition to a high ponytail, or worn underneath a messy bun. Gold or Silver, triple chain midi band, with combs to secure either side.

Top 3 Must Have Products…

As I am sure you all know by now, I am truly in love with the Kevin Murphy range of hair products. My top 3 are my own holiday essentials, as well as festival must haves.

1).  Fresh Hair.  A dry shampoo which soaks up the scalps oil in seconds.  It doesnt leave any powdery, white residue, it’s super easy to work through the hair and it smells delish!

2).  Hair Resort.  I have mentioned this product a few times before, as it is a staple in both my work kit, and in my own cabinet.  Available in a lotion, and a spray, Hair Resort is the ultimate texturiser.  It moulds and holds without any sticky residue, and is simply perfect for creating the perfect, messed up look.

3).  Powder Puff.  Instant poof in a jar.  Just sprinkle on damp or dry roots for an instant lift.  Best bit is, the powder morphs itself into a holding product so your big hair will hold all day.
