Samantha’s Autumn Beauty Guide

The end of summer is sadly upon us and it’s time to get prepared for another season.  With the evenings drawing in earlier and the colder weather meaning we’re starting to layer up, it’s easy to lose momentum on beauty routines.  So I’ve put together my Essential Autumn Beauty Guide to get the best out of your beauty routine for the coming months…

FACE

Decleor Hydra Floral Flower Essence Moisturising Mask

The colder weather can leave skin dry and chapped, and your face gets the most exposure.  Include a nourishing face mask into your routine once a week to hydrate and moisturise leaving you with a radiant complexion.

Sam loves: Decleor Hydra Floral Flower Essence Moisturising Mask  This gorgeous face mask provides continuous “drip-feed” hydration, reinforced by the technology of aquaporins, true “water channels”, combined with an anti-pollution plant active ingredient to protect the skin against harsh environmental elements.  Exactly what your face needs in Autumn.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

BODY

Fake tan was a must for our summer wardrobe but heading into autumn the dark brown look just sticks out like a sore thumb.  Instead, a subtle glow is best to keep you looking radient.

Sam loves: Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze  This is a fantastic moisturiser for the body with the added benefit of a hint of colour which builds with daily use, leaving your skin with a healthy looking, natural glow.

NAILS

As we approach Autumn, our nails can start to become brittle and dehydrated, which can be painful.  Keep them in great shape by moisturising them regularly with a good nail and cuticle cream.

Sam loves: Crabtree and Evelyn Citron Hand Therapy  With its deeply nourishing qualities, this hand cream contains myrrh extract, shown to condition nails, and Hyaluronic Acid, to hold moisture close to the skin. And it’s the perfect size for your handbag!

Redken Real Control Intense Renewal Super Moisturizing Mask

HAIR

In the same way that trees lose their leaves; our hair begins to shed more in autumn.  Nourish and protect your tresses this season with an intensive hair mask once a week.

Sam loves: Redken Real Control Intense Renewal Super Moisturizing Mask.  Doing everything it says on the tin, this hair mask instantly detangles hair, aids in resisting breakage while also improving its internal strength.  It also has Shea Butter to control that annoying autumn frizz.

LIPS

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lipgloss

One area that is often forgotten about is our lips.  To keep them protected from the elements, it’s handy to carry around a good lip balm.

Sam loves: Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lipgloss  This SPF15 containing lip glass protects and moisturises lips against the elements and it’s a product I’m taking through from Summer to Autumn. One of my all-time favourites.

INSIDE OUT

Of course, beauty starts from within so my top tip to see you through Autumn is to eat plenty of fresh fruits & veggies, and get all your nutrients into you.  It will also help ward off any colds or viruses that are going around.  If you struggle to maintain a balanced diet, I’d recommend using a vitamin supplement to top up.

So that’s my top products and tips to stay looking and feeling great from top to toe through Autumn! I hope you find them useful!
