Taras Top 10 Beauty Tips for Autumn

As we come into a new season, now is a really good time to update your make-up look and refresh your individual style. If you’re not sure about where to start, then read my top ten tips below:

1. Our skin can change throughout the seasons. As the weather starts to get cooler, a lot of women suffer with dryness and their skin can feel tight and uncomfortable. It is essential to stock up on a good hydrating moisturiser to keep the skin looking and feeling soft and hydrated.

2. Bronzer is not just for the summer months, it is an essential all year round. Without subtle contouring, the skin can look flat and dull. To add dimension to the face and warm up the complexion, apply your bronzer in the shape of a ’3′ down the two sides of the face. Start by applying along the hairline, along the cheek bone and down to the jawline. This simple technique can make a huge difference.

3. The quickest way to update your make-up look is with your lipstick. Autumn and winter are the seasons to experiment with deep plums and rich berry tones. There is a perfect shade for everyone, it’s just a matter of finding the right one for you. A good alternative for the less daring is a berry or plum lip gloss for a more natural finish.

4. Dewy skin is a must for the winter months. It is much fresher and more youthful than a matte finish to the skin. An easy way to achieve this is to mix a drop of liquid highlighter with your foundation to give an all-over glow to the skin. A powder highlighter is also great for highlighting certain areas suchas the cheekbones and cupids bow

6. Nothing opens up your eyes more than a pair of false eyelashes and applying them isn’t as hard as you would think. You will usually have to cut the lashes to size and trim away whatever you need too from the end of the strip. Apply your glue along the bond, then sit the strip onto your own lashes and gentle push them up until the bond touches the skin. Give them a few seconds to dry and you are goodto go

7. As our natural summer glow starts to fade, an injection of colour can really add life to the skin and make you feel so much better. Fake tan is the safest option for your skin and there are so many great options to choose from. An instant tan can be a saviour when you are in need of a last minute quick fix.

8. Having the right make up brushes is key for achieving a flawless finish. A good foundation brush will make blending a breeze and you won’t have to worry about any tell-tale lines anymore. To complete any eye make-up look you will need the correct tools. A good blending brush will do all of the work for you and help achieve that perfect smokey finish.

9. Every woman should have a neutral eyeshadow palette in their collection. These colours are flattering on every skin tone and work well with all eye colours. You can never go wrong with a pop of gold on the eyelid for a really pretty look. If you are on the go and want to keep your make-up bag products to a minimum, bronzers are great used as eyeshadows, the rich brown colour is a gorgeous contrast for blue and green eyes especially.

10. When choosing your nail colour, always try to match it with your lips, this is something that won’t go unnoticed and is so elegant. Alternatively, a classic French manicure is always a safe bet and is timeless.
