Things To Do While Waiting To Get Pregnant

So what to do when you’re waiting to get pregnant?  Although you may think you have no control over when it happens there are some aspects that you can exercise control over.  These little steps will allow you to focus on and nurture yourself while your waiting to get pregnant.

Get as much sleep as you want

Yes I said, as much as you want! Sleep in whenever you you can, utilise late starts. If you feel like you need a nap, take it. When your pregnant you will not have the luxury of lie ins and early nights. Utilise it when you can.

Clean up your diet

Add more super foods and alkaline foods to your diet. Get rid of the highly processed foods in the cupboards, they’ll do you no good. Every part of you will appreciate this change from your skin, to your bones, to your hair!

Reduce Caffeine Intake and Rest

Fight the urge to get the second cup of coffee in the morning or at the 11 am slump. Instead try grab a 10 minute nap or do something relaxing whether that be read a book, listen to some music. Then when you have a cup of tea or coffee they will be seen as real treats.

Exercise…as much as you can

Look and feel better by exercising. There are numerous benefits to exercising. It builds muscle, puts you in a better mood, and relieves stress. Try new things, a hike, a yoga class anything, any exercise is good exercise.

Relax and enjoy yourself as much as possible

Go on a holiday, get a massage, get a facial. Not only will it benefit your health, it feels very good  too. You will feel all the positive effects straight away and this will benefit your mood going forward. Go to restaurants that you might not be able to go to when you have a baby, some of them may not be kid friendly so utilise your time when you can.

Romance

Lets face it, when you have a baby, the romance side of things will probably take a turn for the worst over the first few months. When the crying bundle of joy is demanding undivided attention from you, you won’t be able to give your partner all the attention. Enjoy some fun and some adventure whilst you can, and just enjoy each other’s company.

De-clutter your space

There’s really nothing more satisfying then getting rid of the junk you’ve been holding on to for years, let’s face it those cow boy boots probably won’t be coming back into fashion any time soon, and that make up that’s 30 shades too dark for you probably won’t be suiting you any time in the near future. Get rid, don’t hoard, when a baby comes along not only does it take a huge place in your heart, it  also captures huge space in your home too!
